Rules governing the agricultural section
IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ANIMAL OWNERS INVOLVED IN SHOWING ANIMALS
The Irish Shows Association would advise all animal owners who have animals insured to have the Insurance cover extended to cover them at Shows.
RULES GOVERNING THE AGRICULTURAL SECTION
-Entries will not be accepted unless made on the official Entry Form ( which will be supplied on application) and accompanied by the amount of entry fee.
-Milch Cows must be in the Show Grounds at 11:30am on the morning of the Show. Judging of these exhibits will commence at 12.00 noon.
-All exhibits must be the bona fide property of the person in whose name entry is made, and have been in his possession for at least two months previous to the date of the show, except in the case of Bulls in their first season.
-One attendant will be admitted free with each exhibit. Attendants will not be permitted to leave the show grounds.
-Horse and Cattle exhibited at the Show must be provided with a rope and halter by the exhibitor. All bulls to be kept under proper control and a pole to be used if necessary.
-The decision of the judge or judges must be accepted as final and no appeal may be made there from except in the case of a breach of the regulation of the show. The committee reserves full power to cancel or amalgamate classes without notifying entrants.
-The committee reserves the right of determining disputed classes as to qualifications, etc.
-The decision of the committee shall be final. The number of prizes awarded in any class at to the quality of the exhibits, etc., shall be determined at the discretion of the judge.
-All relevant documents must be produced on entering the ring.
-Entries in agricultural section close on May 5th.
-Objections must be made in writing and accompanied by a fee of €25, which shall be forfeited if, in the opinion of the committee, the objection is frivolous.
-Satisfactory evidence of age and ownership of any exhibits must be given, if required by the committee. All horses to take their age from January 1st each year.
-Exhibitors must obey the stewards with regard to parking while unloading their livestock.
