 Irish Country Crafts 2011 Details
The RDS and Country Markets are joining with the Kerry County Agricultural and Industrial Show Committee and Tralee Guild ICA in organising the craftsmanship scheme for the encouragement of craftsmanship in handwork and the development of Irish Country Crafts. It consists of competition classes as outlined hereunder. Open to any resident in Ireland.
Exhibits must be at the Showground's, Ballybeggan Racecourse, Tralee by 12 noon on Saturday May 7th 2011
A class may be cancelled unless there are at least 3 entries.
Judging will commence at 2pm on Saturday May 7th.
Prizes except in special classes
1st:- €20 2nd:- €15
Entry Fee except in special classes
€2.00 per individual entry
Entries will not be accepted and prizes will not be awarded for old work. All entries must be new and the unaided work of the competitor and not shown at this show on any previous occasion. Care must be taken to enter work in correct class. All awards at the discretion of the judges

Class 150 Hand Knit Adult Garment - stitch & wool of choice.
Class 151Hand Knit Child Garment - stitch & wool of choice.
Class 152Hand Knit Baby Garment - stitch & wool of choice.
Class 153 Any article in Wool/Fine Cotton Crochet.
Class 154 Patchwork Quilt.
Class 155Patchwork Bag.
Class 156Any article in Embroidery.
Class 157 Soft Toy - any material.
Class 158 Tapestry Picture or Fire Screen.
Class 159 Any article, hand made in clay/pottery, round or in relief.
Class 160 Any painting in Acrylics.
Class 161Any painting in Watercolors.
Class 162Any painting in Oils.
Class 163Photograph titled "Spring Time in Kerry" (Photograph no bigger than 5"x 7").
SPECIAL NEEDS SECTION
Entry Fee: €1 per individual entry.

Class 164 Any Knitted Article/Garment - stitch & wool of choice.
Class 165 Originally designed hand or computer Birthday Card.
Class 166 Any article in Papier Mache.
CHILDREN’S SECTION (Confined to children under 16 years.)
Entry Fee: €1 per individual entry - €5 per group entry.

Class 168 Best dressed Soft Toy.
Class 169 Make a lifelike Scarecrow of any size.
Class 170 Agricultural Themed Painting (A4 size) - restricted to 10 years and under.
Class 171Agricultural Themed Painting (A4 size) - restricted to 11+yrs.
Class 172 Make from recycled materials - An agricultural type machine - (i.e. tractor etc)
